1. Ambiance
Rich and Diane brought this great tree to enhance the decor and a place to put the presents. The twinkling lights added to our late night drinking revelry. 2. Family
It was great that everyone could get together with all of our conflicting responsibilities and our diverse addresses.
Joey received this great hat because it was 20 below zero with blowing snow and Hilary forgot his hat. I have no idea why Rich & Diane picked out a style with devil horns.... the irony is lost on Joey but he sure looks cute.
The irony is not lost on Ian...who really liked Joey's new hat. I don't think Chuck & Nick approve of Ian's style.
3. Electronic Devices
Every child in attendance was texting throughout most of the evening. What do people have to talk about? Poor Chandler forgot his charger and had to use his mother's Blackberry to communicate...did he remember to erase his texts?
4. A Pool
All Joey could concentrate on was the pool. Even the next day when his body was covered in a rash from the over exposure to chlorine. The kids were good sports spending time in the pool.
Even Rich jumped in to have fun....if you look closely you will notice he is wearing his jeans. Must have been the cocktails.
5. Good Food
We didn't take pictures but we ate in this funky barbeque restaurant in the village called The Center Street Smoke House. I loved the dinner (and the company) even though I have a refined Dinosaur palate. Look them up the next time in Batavia.
We had so much fun that Rich is already looking online for houses we might rent for the weekend along some of the lakes.
